NYC Food and Climate Change Summit

Manhattan Borough President Scott M. Stringer, New York University and Just Food present a day-long feast of workshops, training and action planning. The Summit will bring together some 1,000 community gardeners, family farmers, educators, advocates, elected officials, city government leaders and concerned citizens. The goal of the Summit is to increase awareness and action around our food system's role in climate problems and solutions.

Look for your Ecorep in your hall this month to join the Go Cold Turkey Campaign by pledging to unplug all your electronics and appliances this Thanksgiving break! The floor with the most participants will receive a special party involving good food and treats. So show your support and put a windmill in your window and save energy!

Park(ing) Day is an international event that reclaims over 200 parking spots in 50 countries around the world and transforms them into engaging public spaces for one day a year. Barnard EcoReps will host a park(ing) spot near 117th & Broadway and invite everyone to join in great conversation, music, games, art projects, free food, and relaxation. Look for the grassy patch!
